The Bishop's Room
The Bishop's Room
The Bishop's bedroom retains its original layout and furnishings, recalling the private, intimate atmosphere of the past. The bed, the chest of drawers, the wardrobe, the wooden crucifix, the icon of the Virgin Mary with angels and a linen chest tell of the Bishop's daily life. The room also includes a space set aside for private study. A walnut desk stands along one side, giving an idea of the administrative and spiritual work carried out each day by the shepherd of the diocese.
