Abolition of the Diocese of Montemarano
Abolition of the Diocese of Montemarano. With Pope Pius VII's bull “De Utiliori”, the diocese was abolished and its territory was added to that of the Diocese of Nusco, following an agreement between Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies and the Papal States.

Union of the Diocese of Sant'Angelo with Conza
The dioceses of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi and Bisaccia are united with the Archdiocese of Conza “aeque principaliter” (equally important). The diocese now comprises 20 centres. While remaining in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, the archbishop assumes the title of Archbishop of Conza.

New Diocese
The Dioceses of Conza, Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, Bisaccia and Nusco are now fully merged into a new diocese, based in Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi. The cathedral churches of Conza, Nusco and Bisaccia become co-cathedrals, and the patron saints of the individual dioceses become patrons of the new ecclesiastical district. The diocese comprises 26 municipalities and 40 parishes.

With Decree No. 971/85, the Dioceses of Conza, Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, Bisaccia and Nusco are fully united, forming a single diocesan entity.
