The Bishop's Archives of the former diocese of Nusco hold material of great value both to the community and to local historians, tracing the religious and social life of the diocese over time. They contain the official records of the diocese of Nusco, which document the development of local church institutions, the running of the parishes and the pastoral work of the bishops of Nusco over the centuries. Of particular importance is the parchment collection, comprising 165 documents dating from the 11th to the 19th century. The most significant of these is the Testament of St Amatus, written in Beneventan script and setting out the last wishes of the town's first bishop.
