Thurible and Incense Boat

Thurible and Incense Boat

Argentiere Camine Murolo

1776

Nusco — Primo piano

Also of fine workmanship are the thurible and incense boat in cast, pierced and engraved silver by the silversmith Carmine Murolo, dating from 1776.

Their distinctive design bears witness to the outstanding skill of Neapolitan silversmiths, particularly the base of the thurible, formed of three superbly intertwined serpents.
